How We Review Operators
OddsMint publishes independent reviews of licensed betting and casino operators across Europe. This page explains exactly how we select, assess, and score the platforms we cover.
Last updated: 27 July, 2026
Our Selection Criteria
We only review operators that meet a minimum threshold before we start writing. A brand must hold a valid licence from a recognised regulatory authority, this includes (but is not limited to) the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, Curaçao eGaming, and national licences such as those issued by Germany’s GGL, Sweden’s Spelinspektionen, or Poland’s Ministry of Finance. Operators on active warning lists from regulators, or with sustained unresolved player complaints on independent forums, are not reviewed.
We do not review operators solely because they run an affiliate programme. We review operators because we believe they are worth assessing for our audience.
How We Score
Each review covers six areas. Our overall score reflects a weighted assessment across all of them:
Licensing and safety: The jurisdiction of the licence, track record with regulators, and presence of player protection tools including deposit limits, self-exclusion, and session controls.
Odds and markets: Pricing competitiveness on major sports and esports events, market depth beyond headline fixtures, and live betting quality.
Sports coverage: We assess breadth and depth across major leagues and tournaments, market variety beyond the headline 1X2/moneyline (Asian handicap, correct score, live/in-play), and how well an operator covers marquee events like the FIFA World Cup alongside everyday fixtures. Given OddsMint’s football-first sports audience, we weigh genuine football depth more heavily than niche sport coverage, which we assess separately in our guides.
Esports coverage: We assess CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant market depth, tournament coverage, and live esports pricing separately.
Bonuses and promotions: We read the full terms, not just the headline figure. We assess wagering requirements, eligible markets, time limits, and maximum bet rules during bonus play. We flag anything we consider unfair or misleading.
Payments: Deposit and withdrawal methods, processing times, fee structures, and currency support. We note where operators support local payment methods relevant to specific markets.
User experience: Platform speed and stability, mobile experience, customer support responsiveness, and account verification process.
Our Scores
Scores are on a scale of 1–5 and represent our assessment at the time of review. We update reviews when material changes occur – new licences, significant product changes, or sustained player complaints that shift our view. The review date is displayed on every page.
Editorial Standards
All content is researched using primary sources — operator terms and conditions, licensing registers, and regulatory publications — and reviewed for accuracy at the time of publication. Betting products, odds, and promotions change frequently, and regulatory environments vary by country and evolve over time. Where material changes occur, we update content accordingly. Older content may be amended or retired if it’s no longer relevant.
Commercial relationships never influence our opinions, rankings, or reviews. Operators cannot request, edit, or approve editorial content before or after publication.
Affiliate Relationships
OddsMint earns revenue through affiliate partnerships. When a reader clicks a link to an operator and registers an account, we may receive a commission. This is standard practice in the review publishing industry and is disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our scores or editorial conclusions. We review operators we are not partnered with, and we publish criticism of operators we are partnered with. If we lose an affiliate relationship because of an honest review, that is an acceptable outcome.
A full list of our current affiliate relationships is available on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t accept payment for positive coverage. We don’t remove negative content on request. We don’t present sponsored content as editorial reviews. We don’t recommend operators to users in jurisdictions where those operators are not licensed to operate.
Corrections and Complaints
If you believe something in a review is factually incorrect, contact us at hello@oddsmint.com. Operators who wish to dispute factual inaccuracies in their review may do so through the same channel. We do not remove accurate content.Â
