PDC Premier League Darts; Five nights of Premier League Darts remain before the top four is decided. After Jonny Clayton’s fourth nightly win in Rotterdam on Thursday – beating Luke Littler 6-4 in the final – the standings are clearer at the top but genuinely tense in the middle. Here’s where every player stands and what they need.
Current Standings (After Night 11)
| Position | Player | Points | Nights Won |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | Jonny Clayton | 29 | 4 |
| 2nd | Luke Littler | 24 | 3 |
| 3rd | Gerwyn Price | 19 | 2 |
| 4th | Michael van Gerwen | 16 | 1 |
| 5th | Gian van Veen | 15 | 0 |
| 6th | Luke Humphries | 13 | 0 |
| 7th | Stephen Bunting | 11 | 0 |
| 8th | Josh Rock | 6 | 0 |
Five nights remaining. Maximum points available per night: 5. Top four qualify for Finals Night at The O2 on 28 May.
The Safe Zone
Jonny Clayton โ effectively confirmed. A five-point lead with five nights left and four nightly wins to his name. The Ferret has been the player of the season and barring a complete collapse he’s at The O2. His form โ back-to-back wins in Brighton and Rotterdam โ suggests the collapse isn’t coming.
Luke Littler โ safe but not comfortable. Five points behind Clayton, three nightly wins, and the world number one ranking behind him. Littler will be at Finals Night barring a catastrophic run. The concern is whether he can find the consistency he showed in March โ three wins in four nights โ after a difficult few weeks shaped by the Van Veen controversy and hostile crowds in Rotterdam.
The Battle for 3rd and 4th
This is where it gets interesting. Three players are separated by just four points fighting for two places.
Gerwyn Price (19 pts) is in the driving seat for third. Two nightly wins, strong recent form, and the momentum of a player who has genuinely improved as the season has progressed. Price reaching the play-offs for the second consecutive year would be a significant story.
Michael van Gerwen (16 pts) needs results. The seven-time Premier League champion has been consistent โ two finals, several semi-finals โ without converting. At Rotterdam he lost to Clayton in the quarter-finals, a result that hurt his points tally badly. MVG needs at least two strong nights from the remaining five to secure fourth.
Gian van Veen (15 pts) is one point behind MVG and still very much alive. Four finals without a nightly win is the story of Van Veen’s season โ he has been consistently excellent but unable to close the deal. A night win would transform his points position overnight. The question is whether he can do it before time runs out.
The Long Shots
Luke Humphries (13 pts) โ the defending champion is in genuine danger of missing Finals Night. Zero nightly wins from eleven nights is a shocking record for a player of his quality. He’s pushed Littler to deciding legs multiple times without converting, and his semi-final exits have cost him crucial points. Mathematically alive but needing an almost perfect run.
Stephen Bunting (11 pts) โ needs everything to go right and several players above him to collapse. Unlikely but not impossible given the format.
Josh Rock (6 pts) โ effectively out. The Belfast nine-darter hero has had a difficult first Premier League campaign.
Remaining Fixtures
| Night | Venue | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Night 12 | M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool | 23 April |
| Night 13 | P&J Live, Aberdeen | 30 April |
| Night 14 | First Direct Arena, Leeds | 7 May |
| Night 15 | Utilita Arena, Birmingham | 14 May |
| Night 16 | Utilita Arena, Sheffield | 21 May |
Night 16 in Sheffield is the decider โ the quarter-final draw is based on the league table, meaning the stakes are maximum going into the final night.
The Betting Picture
Clayton to win the Premier League outright is the structural bet โ he’s been the most consistent player all season, leads by five points, and has demonstrated he knows how to win when it matters. Littler’s odds will reflect his world number one status more than his recent form. Price each-way for a deep Finals Night run is the value angle given his improvement curve.
